Fibre-optics networks are essential for modern communications. St. Moritz Energie has been involved in building energy and communications networks for years. The latter serves to monitor and control energy flows with fibre optics as quickly as possible.

In addition to satisfying our own needs, our fibre-optics network can also be used to implement customer-specific projects; for example, for special requirements or for redundancy purposes.

In addition, St. Moritz Energie and Swisscom are in the process of building a comprehensive fibre-optics network (FTTH) to connect almost all of St. Moritz’s residential and commercial buildings to telecommunications services. This would mean that both national and locally based providers will be able to use a state-of-the-art infrastructure. For this purpose, a shared telecommunications centre has been created near the RhB St. Moritz train station, where, on the one hand, the connection of each residential property ends, and, on the other hand, where the various telecommunications providers can install their equipment and devices.
