You will learn everything about the construction, operation and maintenance of the entire electrical distribution network. What does this profession involve?
As a grid electrician EFZ, you are responsible for laying and pulling electrical cables. You mount and connect the cables so that electricity flows where it is needed. Once the cables are in place, you install electrical systems and devices, for example street lighting or traffic light systems. After completing the work, you check that everything is safely and correctly connected.

After completing your apprenticeship as a grid electrician EFZ, a number of paths are open to you, including:
• Opportunity to complete a professional experience year after the apprenticeship
• Professional examination (PE): for example network specialist, or electrical project manager for installation and safety
• Higher professional examination (HPE): for example certified expert in electrical installation and safety
